NeGD is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer in Delhi to architect and deploy AI solutions for India's Digital India programs. This is a contractual position with NeGD under MeitY, supporting the government's IndiaAI Mission. For an experienced ML engineer in India, this is a rare opportunity to work on citizen-facing AI services at national scale.

What you'll do

• Architect and deploy AI/ML solutions for government platforms including BHASHINI, MyGov, UMANG, and DigiLocker
• Build and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) and transformer-based models for production use
• Develop end-to-end ML pipelines using Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow with focus on production deployment
• Implement MLOps infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow across AWS or Azure cloud platforms
• Lead technical design and execution of AI solutions for citizen-facing Digital India services

Who should apply

You're a senior ML engineer with 5–8 years of demonstrable experience deploying machine learning and deep learning systems in production. A B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field is required. You'll need hands-on expertise with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, transformers, LLM fine-tuning, and MLOps tools. This is not a role for freshers—NeGD expects proven delivery at scale.

Salary & offer in context

NeGD offers ₹1.5L–2L per month (₹18–24 lakh annually) for this role.
